Searching Candidates on the AMR Database (Main Menu) The purpose of Search Candidates is to search for candidate records manually. NOTE: If the purpose to search for candidates is to find a match for a position, go to "Search Positions". The AMR database has an automatic search system that is the best method. To search for matching records for an existing record posted to the AMR database, simply bring that record up and click the magnifying glass icon (record must belong to you). The first method of search is by specialty only. Select a specialty from the drop down list. Either leave the dates in or alter the dates. To see all records of a specialty, take out the dates (leaving date fields blank) and either select "Ignore Criteria" to view ALL records in the database or select "All My Candidates" to view your candidates only. Click "Search". The second method of search is to select specific criteria
in each field. Select "All Matching". The third method of search is by id number. Type in the id number in the field "CanID:" and click "Search". The search engine will ignore all other criteria. Should you forget the function of the fields "CanID:" and "List", click on the book with question mark icon located by those fields.
